It has been rumored that Apple would rename proprietary iPhone software, from iOS to iPhone OS, and the flagship product iPhone could be called Apple Phone.
The news was circulated on social media by June Prosser. According to the tweet, Weinbach received a random e-mail informing him that "Apple will rename iOS to iPhone OS."
This news has not been confirmed yet but it may be true because Apple has agreed to change the iOS to suit every device. The iPad OS has proved to be a first step in replacing its flagship tablet with a laptop.
The announcement of the renamed convention will most likely be scheduled for June 22, 2020, at Apple's WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) 2020.
The event will be held in practice and will announce all new developments and features coming to iOS 14, iPad OS, Watch OS, and Mac OS. In other news, Apple will have free access to all Apple developers. In addition, as in previous years, the company will post videos of all sessions on Apple's website, along with relevant documents.
