Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that we will not allow any ban on any social media application. The Prime Minister pointed out but at the same time, we cannot allow anyone to spread or spread false information about government organizations or the people who work for them.
Prime Minister Khan took notice of the delay in the preparation of social media regulations by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority and the Ministry of Information Technology.
He directed the departments to submit a report in this regard this week.
The PTI government has been criticized for monitoring the content on social media and making decisions regarding its rules. This came after the government temporarily banned the online game PUBG and issued a warning to Tiktok.
