A few days after the Supreme Court quashed the presidential reference against Justice Faiz Issa, his wife Serena Issa said that her husband had received death threats through a video in which the intimidator said: It can be heard that: "Jesus should be shot in public."
In a request to lodge the first Information Report (FIR) at the Secretariat Police Station in Islamabad, Serena said that the person who threatened Justice Issa said that whoever was involved in embezzlement, even Faiz Issa. Or else he should be hanged by the firing squad. .
According to Justice Isa's wife, the person in the video should be hanged only for those involved in such activities and invited to see the whole city.
He quoted the man in the video as saying that people should be asked to come to Fawara Chowk [in Rawalpindi] so that "someone is being hanged".
Serena also said that many powerful people were not happy with her husband and suspected that the threat of death was a continuation of what they were facing.
On Friday, the apex court quashed the presidential reference filed with Justice Isa as well as the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) which was started on the basis of the reference.
The full 10-judge court ruled after more than six months of hearing petitions against the reference, claiming that Justice Jesus, in a statement of his wealth, had confiscated the property of his family members in the UK. He committed adultery by not disclosing.
"Reference No. 1 of 2019 has been declared to have no legal effect and has been removed, and as a result proceedings against the petitioner [Justice Isa] are pending in the SJC. Go, "gave a short order.
In a separate ruling announced by Presidential Judge Omar Ata Bandial, seven out of ten judges have asked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to initiate tax proceedings against Justice Isa's spouse and children for failing to disclose their UK assets. Sent to BR). Tax authorities submit their returns.
However, three judges, dismissing the reference, did not support the majority's view: referring the matter to the FBR. Out of the three judges, Justice Yahya Afridi rejected Justice Isa's plea but allowed the petitions of the higher bars against the reference.
In the petition, Justice Isa's wife has said that a man named Abdul Waheed Dogar has lodged a complaint against her husband. "My husband asked who Abdul Waheed Dogar was but no one in the government disclosed for whom Abdul Waheed Dogar works," she claimed, adding that Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shehzad Akbar had met Dogar. He appealed to the police to investigate Dogar's whereabouts, which he said were being used by "some very powerful people".
'I suspect that whoever ordered the beating of the journalist Mr. Ahmad Noorani is the real mastermind and the person who wants to kill my husband,' she alleged.
He called on police to arrest "powerful individuals" who want to get rid of Justice Jesus, calling it "the worst kind of terrorism."
