Super Star Pakistani actor Shahrooz Sabzwari released a video statement
in defense of his family and newlywed wife Sadaf Kanwal on Monday after a
backlash.
Shahrooz came under fire after Netizen began accusing popular model Sadaf
of cheating on his ex-wife, Saira Yusuf.
'I am recording this video to defend my family's integrity,' Shahrooz said, referring to all the allegations as well as online hatred when he was engaged to Sadaf. 'It's something that I deserve to do.'
'Saira and I decided to break up in August 2019. The reason for our separation was not Sadaf or any other woman,' the actor said during the swearing-in. 'I can safely challenge anyone. Provide evidence to prove otherwise. '
'I met the money changer through work, three or four months after we separated from Saira and she was a partner at the time. Saira and I tried
to work on our marriage.' 'However on very personal matter disagreements arose between us, leading to a divorce,' Shahrooz added.
He added that he did not want to divorce Saira, but since the issue could
not be resolved between them, they decided to separate by mutual consent
and dignity.
'At that time, I was not involved with Sadaf in any way,' Shahrooz
reiterated, 'I am making this video for my daughter, whom I love very
much.' 'I have this video to show him in my defense.'
'People wanted me to remain silent and look at all the charges against me in a different way. However, I will defend my family, my wife Sadaf, to
the end,' he concluded,
On Sunday, Sadaf Kanwal and Shahrooz Sabzwari confirmed their marriage
after rumors of marriage broke out.
