Following shocking revelations by an American columnist and blogger about the rape and abuse of PPP storefronts, superstar actress Veena Malik has announced her support for U.S Blogger Cynthia de Richie for the allegations she made against the leaders of opposition party PPP.
On social media site Twitter, actress Veena Malik wrote, 'More power to you girl. Stay strong @CynthiaDRitchie we’re with you, don’t spare these morons'
Earlier, Cynthia had alleged that former Home Minister Rehman Malik had abused her when the PPP was in power.
It also accused then-Pakistani Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin of sexually abusing her on various occasions. Cynthia de Richie is said to have been close to Makhdoom Shabdin at the time of the incident.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said it was a disgrace to respond to allegations of sexual harassment leveled by Cynthia de Richie. He said Cynthia Richie should be ashamed of herself for crying out for rape and for deliberately dragging opposition leaders into a scandal. Cynthia de Richie has not lodged a complaint with the police but has made the allegations on social media.
'A person of my stature cannot think of it. I may have gone to Presidency to meet the president or with a delegation, and how could such nonsense thing happen there,' he said as he and PPP are looking for answers to questions raised in her video on Facebook
'Can the Prime Minister ever do such a thing in the Presidency?' 'Who gave him this right to accuse politicians like this?' He asked.
