Superstar Saira Khan shares how childhood sexual abuse changed her life

British television presenter & superstar Saira Khan says sexual abuse has changed her forever when she talked about a documentary about Jeffrey Aspatin in "Flatty Rich" in which tells the story of Jeffrey's last years in prison until his death.

'I was really scared to see it because obviously, I was in the same situation where I was sexually abused,' she was quoted as saying by Britain's Daily Star.

'The moment I found really difficult was there was a girl there, as one of the survivors and she talked about before being molested, her life was lovely.' The superstar added 

She added 'It felt like a flower, it was blooming, and life was fine.' 'I really resonated with that special woman because that is how I felt, my life was great and then at that moment, I changed.'

Talking about his experience, she said, 'That's how I felt, my life was great, and in that moment I changed I can never find my innocence.'

Saira Khan said, 'Until this moment I have been angry, I have found a defensive mechanism around me, it changes your life forever.'

She added 'Listening to the voices of these girls, they are so brave, you cannot close your eyes and we have to build a society where if someone says it happened, you believe them.'

Earlier, the TV star had revealed that she suffered from sexual abuse from a family member when she was just 13 years old.
