Samsung to Launch Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 on August 5

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch its Galaxy Note 20 series as well as the Galaxy Fold 2 on August 5 through an online program due to COVID 19.

According to Korean news outlet Dong-e Albu, a Samsung Electronics staff member has confirmed that the organization intends to dispatch the hotly anticipated Galaxy Note 20 series along with the Galaxy Fold 2 on August 5.

According to the report,' internal discussions are taking place, but plans to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5 are being considered.'

The smartphone maker is expected to confirm the launch date in the next few weeks.

Last year, it unveiled the Galaxy Note 10 series at an "unpacked" event at the Barclays Center in New York on August 7.

Prior to the launch, some details of the Galaxy Note 20 series surfaced online.

The standard Galaxy Note 20 will play a 6H2-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1084 x 2345 resolution.

The top-end Note 20 smartphone will be slightly larger and will feature a larger 6.87-inch LTPO screen with an AMOLED panel.

Like the Vanilla Note 20, the Note 20+ will support 120Hz refresh rate but with QHD + resolution of 1444 x 3096 pixels.

Depending on the region, the smartphone maker could launch the Galaxy Note 20 with a Snapdragon 865 processor or with its custom Exynos 990SC.

The processor can be paired with a 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, which Samsung had earlier started mass production.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will feature a 7.59-inch screen with a resolution of 2213 x 1689 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
